Portable Display Panel System

The college is drastically short on review space. This problem coupled with a need for a portable pin-up space for remote presentations and reviews prompted the design of a light and durable system. As with any design project the performance criteria must be prioritized. Weight was chosen as the major consideration and all moves in the design were based on diminishing it. ¾” Aluminum was used for the frame with a “Z” clip system allowing the panel portion to separate from the leg for flat storage. Unpainted sheets of homosote were slipped into the frame to provide a maintenance free and sturdy pin-up surface. Sixty of the panels were manufactured with a future lighting design in the works.
